How to read this map

Darker shades mean more SCEE records. Light shades do not imply lower educational quality and are not assessment rankings.

Population is a 2024 reference—not the latest 2026 count or the number of programme beneficiaries.

Sources, definitions and display limits

Counts cover 17 project records: 13 from 2026 and four from 2025. These are annual project records, not a national school census.

Population: Department of Provincial Administration registration statistics, reproduced in NSO Statistical Yearbook Thailand 2025, Table 1.5. Chiang Rai age bands: the provincial education information report 2025, Table 17, using December 2024 population.

Active learning: from listening to thinking

Undergraduate science, technology, engineering and mathematics

Freeman et al. report average failure rates of 33.8% with lecturing and 21.8% with active learning, and a mean examination effect of 0.47 SD.

From research to a classroom experiment

Pilot think–pair–share and short before/after questions; track how many pupils respond and explain their reasoning.

What the evidence does—and does not—show

This is not a test of interactive displays or Thai school pupils. It informs teaching design, not a guaranteed device or SCEE effect.

FROM INSIGHT TO ACTION

Turn insights into classroom change

Start with what learners should be able to do, then work backwards to resources, pedagogy and evidence.

Backcast from your goal

Set learner numbers and access goals, then produce a 90-day development draft.
